A Conversation with Robert Bose, Eytan Uliel, and David Bramhill

What's your outlook for oil in 2026 given the risk and uncertainty surrounding recent events in Venezuela?

Robert Bose, CEO of Sintana Energy (TSXV: SEI) (OTC: SEUSF) (LON:SEI)

While I expect the oil markets to continue to be weak on the back of oversupply, we are very excited about the opportunities we see to use the growing levels of volatility and geopolitical uncertainty to deploy capital into long dated resources in high quality assets in lower risk jurisdictions providing a strong base to realize returns in the future. Energy needs will continue to outstrip GDP growth overtime and the diminishing role of shale will favour low cost offshore resources which is where we are focused.

Eytan Uliel, President of Sintana Energy (TSXV: SEI) (OTC: SEUSF) (LON:SEI)

In my view, geopolitical risks (Venezuela, Iran) may add short-term uncertainty and, depending on outcomes, in the slightly longer term may even add supply. But this will do little to correct a structural supply-demand imbalance, which is fundamentally driven by a global need for energy that is exponentially growing. When coupled with historic underinvestment in traditional oil and gas exploration and the decades long process that will be needed to properly transition to newer sources of energy, the near-to-medium term outlook for oil remains strong.

David Bramhill, Executive Chairman of Union Jack Oil (LON: UJO) (OTC: UJOGF)

I have been involved in the ‘industry’ for over 50 years and obviously experienced the swings, both positive and negative over the years. To be involved at the ‘coal face’ one has to be an optimist - yet a realist at the same time. Geo political issues have had a habit of manifesting - we have seen a number of these recently and my outlook for oil in the future can only be massively positive. The world, like it or not is dependent on fossil fuels and the infrastructure globally dictates the need in the future in my opinion.
